Jessica Simpson Workout Video Ban
01/30/2009
Jessica Simpson’s workout tape for Speedfit was never released, thanks to Jessica blocking the sale of the DVD. Now, the company is suing Jessica and her manager father for banning the release of the video. Read more and check out pictures of a much “healthier” Jessica along with the work out video.
Jessica Simpson made a fitness DVD after signing a multimillion-dollar contract with Speedfit. The making of this DVD occurred shortly after her role as Daisy Duke in the 2005 remake of The Dukes of Hazzard.
However, Jessica changed her mind about the fitness DVD, and her father banned it from being released.
Speedfit owner Alex Astilean, has now filed a lawsuit against Joe, after failing to secure a million settlement from Jessica last year. He tells US Magazine,
“They are hurting millions of fat people in America! I believe that very strongly — they held the video for years!”
The video, posted here, is a hot mess - Astilean’s thick accent confuses Jessica so bad that she stammers and sputters, “No. [Pause.] Yes? [Pause.] I don’t know!… I’m so confused about ‘a horse’ right now.”
Also on the video, a separate telephone recording reveals Simpson business manager David Levin telling Astilean “you would be justified in calling [Jessica Simpson] a ‘bitch,’ in calling Joe an ‘asshole…’” and saying Joe has every intention of screwing them over on the deal.
